Drag Finisher Tooling Fixtures
One of the most important aspects of cutting tool edge-prep and polishing in the drag finishing process is using the proper tooling fixtures to hold the tools to be processed. Certain factors, such as angle of presentation into the process media, direction of tools during the process, number of tools, and the geometry of those tools play an important role in the overall desired results. Bel Air can provide custom holders and collets to fit your particular application.
These “Quick Release” tool holders use standard R8 collets and are mounted directly to our Driven 3rd axis holders. Load the cutting tools directly into the holder for high productivity.
