Solution
Bel Air developed an automated polishing process to reduce manual hand polishing for jewelry rings produced through machining, stamping, and laser cutting. The goal was to achieve consistent surface finishes across both inner diameters and exterior profiles while preserving the fine details typical of precious metal rings.
Using a combination of roll burnishing and high-energy centrifugal disc finishing, the process uniformly polished ring interiors and exterior surfaces without distorting ring geometry. This approach produced bright, consistent finishes while maintaining dimensional accuracy and clean edge definition.
The optimized process significantly reduced labor while improving repeatability and throughput, making it well suited for jewelry manufacturers looking to scale ring production without compromising appearance, fit, or quality.
