Solution

Bel Air developed an automated polishing process to reduce manual hand polishing for jewelry rings and necklaces produced through casting, stamping, and laser cutting. The goal was to improve surface finish consistency while preserving fine details and delicate features typical of precious metal jewelry.

Using a combination of roll burnishing and high-energy centrifugal disc finishing, the process uniformly polished complex profiles and contact surfaces without distortion. The result was bright, consistent finishes across sterling silver, 10K gold, and 14K gold components.

The optimized process significantly reduced labor requirements while improving repeatability and throughput, making it well suited for jewelry manufacturers looking to scale polishing operations without compromising appearance or quality.
