14K Yellow Gold Casted Tree – Smooth & Polish

Prepare a 14K yellow-gold casting tree for final polishing by reducing casting texture, smoothing parting lines, and establishing a uniform pre-polish surface without altering critical geometry.

Bel Air developed a two-stage finishing process to prepare the 14K yellow-gold cast tree for efficient downstream polishing. The workflow began with a Roll Burnisher operation that compresses and smooths the raw casting surface. This step reduces surface-level porosity, limits metal removal during polishing, and produces a more uniform baseline surface condition.

After burnishing, the tree was transferred to a Vertical Drag Finisher for controlled pre-polishing. This stage uses media-driven abrasion to smooth parting lines and create a consistent pre-polish appearance without softening critical edges or altering setting dimensions. By combining gentle surface conditioning with precision drag finishing, the process eliminates 70–90% of the manual pre-polishing typically required and delivers consistent, repeatable results at scale.
