Titanium Firearm Bolt Action Receiver

Bel Air Finishing was tasked with developing a complete deburring and surface preparation solution for titanium bolt action receivers to streamline the coating preparation process. The goal is to replace manual deburring and sandblasting with an efficient system that prepares the parts for DLC coating, while recommending the optimal media.

Bel Air  recommended two options to meet the customer’s needs for efficient deburring and surface preparation: Centrifugal Disc Finisher or Vibratory Finisher. Each solution was tested with multiple media types to determine the best approach for achieving a smooth, uniform finish that meets DLC coating requirements. Both systems provide an effective alternative to manual deburring and sandblasting, ensuring that each bolt action receiver is properly prepped with minimal labor and consistent, high-quality results.
