Objective
Bel Air had worked on improving many of the finishing processes for this particular customer’s manufacturing, we were invited to take part in the development of the manufacturing processes for the new model and all of its components. We went to work to establish a finishing Takt time for the frame components and subsequently designed and installed a completes system that starts with the high energy deburring system coming right of the machining center. In order to work this closely with all projects in this industry, We applied and were granted an Federal Firearms License (FFL). This FFL allows us to work on any serialized components to help improve efficiencies for all of our firearms customers.
