Aluminum Rifle Scope

Bel Air Finishing was tasked with introducing a cellular deburring system to replace labor-intensive hand and belt sanding prior to final finishing.

To meet the customer’s requirements, Bel Air Finishing designed a process that automated the removal of tooling lines from aluminum rifle scopes. Using the Horizontal Drag Finisher, Bel Air implemented a specialized program that aligned with the takt time of the machining center. This approach allowed for a seamless one-piece flow within the machining cell, eliminating manual sanding while maintaining a consistent, high-quality surface finish.
