Solution
Bel Air developed a repeatable polishing process for cast silver bars using a Roll Burnisher. The goal was to produce a bright, consistent finish prior to the coining process.
The burnishing process improved surface brightness while preserving the shape and detail of the cast silver bars. Different media, compounds, and process settings were evaluated to achieve the desired finish before downstream processing.
The completed process consistently produced polished silver bars with a bright finish suitable for coining applications.
