Because of their extensive knowledge of surface prep of turbine blades BAF participated in the development of an experimental coating process for a tier 1 manufacturer of blades for jet engines. Bel Air Finishing worked along with the customers design team to establish surface polishing systems to match multiple coating technologies. What Bel Air Finishing calls a “feedback loop” is incorporated as a methodology for developing new manufacturing technologies from the base metal, machining and coatings.
