Large Ultrafiltration Series systems use tubular membrane elements and crossflow filtration to separate solids, colloids, emulsified matter, and oily emulsions from the wastewater stream. The wide-channel tubular configuration is designed to accommodate solids and help discourage membrane fouling during processing.
The ultrafiltration process uses membrane separation rather than chemical additives to concentrate the waste emulsion and solids. Clarified permeate can be directed to the included storage tank for reuse or to a drain when permitted, depending on the application.
