As part of their material development process, the customer partnered with Bel Air Finishing to engineer a mass finishing solution for polishing ceramic mold halves. Using the Centrifugal Barrel Finisher, Bel Air tested multiple polishing methods tailored to the customer’s trial materials. This collaborative project resulted in a reliable polishing process that delivers consistent, high-quality finishes, aligning with the customer’s long-term production goals.
The high-energy centrifugal barrel process effectively handled the unique challenges of this extremely hard material, offering a scalable solution that ensures efficiency and precision in surface finishing.
