At Bel Air Finishing, delivering the right solution takes more than equipment—it also requires knowledgeable people who can help customers navigate the many products involved in the finishing process. This month, we’re highlighting Dan Murray, our Consumables Specialist, who joined the Bel Air team in May 2026.
Supporting Customers Through Technical Sales
In his role, Dan serves as a technical sales specialist for Bel Air’s media, compounds, and related consumable products. He works with customers on the products that support their finishing processes, combining technical knowledge with a practical, customer-focused approach.
Although Dan is relatively new to the manufacturing industry, his time at Bel Air has already given him a valuable look at how manufacturing works. Learning more about the processes, materials, and people involved in bringing products to life has been one of his biggest takeaways since joining the company.
Dan especially appreciates the people he works alongside. For him, being part of a good team is one of the best things about working at Bel Air.
From the Classroom and Lacrosse Field to Bel Air
Before joining Bel Air, Dan worked as both a teacher and a coach in the Providence school system. His experience included coaching the Classical High School boys’ lacrosse team—part of an ongoing passion for coaching that continues outside of work.
A native Rhode Islander, Dan grew up in East Providence and earned a degree in English from the University of Rhode Island.
Outside of Work
When he isn’t helping Bel Air customers, Dan enjoys staying active. He continues to coach, likes to run, and makes time to relax at the beach.
