In 1917, Parker Hannifin started making brake systems for trucks. Today, as a Fortune 500 company, they have since grown into the worldwide leader in motion control technologies, including aerospace, climate control, electromechanical, filtration, fluid and gas handling, hydraulics, pneumatics, process control, and sealing and shielding.
As part of that commitment to growth, improvement, and greatness, they are now looking to set up another additive manufacturing center of excellence. Consequently, they have reached out to us- their approved equipment supplier for surface enhancing equipment- to outfit them with a 3d Post-processing cellular setup. We had the pleasure of hosting Nagarajan Ramaswamy from the additive team at our facility.
At our facility, we were able to work with Nagarajan and his specific grown/printed metallic components. Levels of processing were demonstrated to achieve the specifications needed. We were able to identify and showcase the entire post-processing workflow that would be implemented in their facility from an as-grown part through to a consumer-ready product.
Special thanks to Nagarajan Ramaswany for coming to our lab and we look forward to continuing our work with all of our partners at Parker Hannifin in the future.
