New England Institute of Technology Students Explore Mass Finishing

On February 4 and 11, 2025, groups of students from the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) visited Bel Air Finishing in North Kingstown, RI, to gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of mass finishing. Bel Air, a leading provider of mass finishing services, was excited to welcome these future engineers and share industry insights with them.
The students participated in a seminar and guided tour of the Bel Air facility, where they learned about a variety of Mass Finishing processes, including vibratory finishing, tumbling, and polishing. They also had the opportunity to observe real-world applications and even try out some of the processes firsthand.
Beyond the technical aspects, students engaged in discussions about industry trends, automation, and career opportunities within the Mass Finishing sector.
