At Bel Air, our success is built on the dedication, passion, and hard work of our incredible team. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Lisa Alviti — a cornerstone of Bel Air since 1984. With over four decades of service, Lisa truly does everything under the sun to keep this place running smoothly!
While she is the head of Accounting now, Lisa contributed to nearly every part of our operation over the years. From managing logistics and supporting the team behind the scenes to solving problems before they arise, Lisa is the go-to person who keeps the wheels turning. Her knowledge of the company and its processes is unmatched, and her can-do attitude is nothing short of inspiring.
Her long tenure at Bel Air has made her not just a valued employee but a part of the company’s very foundation. Whether she’s keeping things organized, jumping in to help wherever needed, or just being a steady, supportive presence for the team, Lisa exemplifies what it means to be truly indispensable.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys hitting the gym and spending time with her family—raising the next generation of Bel Air Finishing!
We decided to do a little Q&A with her. Let’s see what she has to say:
Q: You’ve been here a while — what’s one thing about the company culture that’s never changed (in a good way)?
LA: Our company has been able to grow immensely in our industry while maintaining the same number of employees (that have been with us for years). I think that speaks to the culture here that we can keep increasing our production while keeping the same employees for such lengthy periods of their careers!
Q:What’s the most “you won’t believe this” moment you’ve had while working in accounting?
LA: In the beginning of my career, I had a customer who proceeded to tell me he was GOD and that I needed to do exactly what he said.😂😂😂 Big Steve picked up the phone and took it from there.
Q: If you could swap jobs with anyone at the company for a day, who would it be and why?
LA: Absolutely no one. 😂 Seriously, I have “been there, done that” with almost all other roles here, and I like my current role the best!
Q: How has the company evolved since you started, and what change impressed you most?
LA: The most impressive part of our growth has to be the number of worldwide brands that we now work with. We have household names coming in on a pretty regular basis; huge, billion-dollar entities that we now deal with. Yet we are still truly a family shop – Bel Air has earned its place on the manufacturing map.
Q: What’s your favorite inside joke, tradition, or memory that only long-timers would understand?
LA: Big Steve’s quote: “Someday you get the bear and someday the bear eats you.”
We’re incredibly grateful to have Lisa as part of the Bel Air family. Her commitment, versatility, and astronomical amount of lunches bought for the team have kept us going strong for over 40 years — and we couldn’t do it without her!
